Taiwan Pinglin Baozhong, also known as 坪林包種, is a lightly oxidized oolong tea from Pinglin Township in Taiwan made using the milky oolong cultivar known as Jin Xuan (金萱). This unique tea brews a delicate and sweet cup with a hint of floral and honeyed aromas while still retaining the milky oolong velvety texture in the tea. The new generation farmer has taken over most of the operations of the family business while his father still stays up the night to expertly process the tea that has landed our shores.

Interesting fact about this tea is that Taiwanese parents used to buy this tea for their children just before their exams to drink as Baozhong 包種 sounds very similar to 包 中 which loosely translates to "definitely passing with flying colours." The tea leaves appear tightly twisted and have a slightly yellowish hue. The flavor is full-bodied and has a lasting finish that lingers on the palate. Taiwan Pinglin Baozhong is perfect for those who appreciate the subtle nuances of a lightly oxidized oolong.
